Stampede Parade - Represent Acadia Community!

Almost a year ago, I had a vision on how to celebrate communities and the
Federation's 50th Anniversary, it was by participating in the Stampede
Parade. We are just a month away from putting in one of the largest
entries into the parade - an entry that will celebrate all 147 community
associations and I want you to be part of it!

Have you ever thought you would like to be in the Stampede Parade? Cross
this one off your buck list - I have you covered!!!

BE PART OF IT! We are looking for adult volunteers from each community to
participate in our entry. Show your community pride by wearing a sash with
the name of your community and walk the 3 km parade as a pacer. CBC Radio
will be watching for our volunteers and commenting on the important role
communities play in Calgary.

I need about 80 more volunteers to make this a reality. As an adult
volunteer you will receive:

1) A Barbeque Party and Orientation on June 25 (location to be announced)
2) A "yellow" school bus ride from one of three LRT stations down to Fort
Calgary where the parade will begin
3) A Stampede Breakfast the morning of
4) A white cowboy hat to wear in the parade and to keep as your souvenir

BE PART OF IT! Help us make this dream possible. The deadline is June 20
- but please I am losing sleep! Sign up today.

Attached is a poster to circulate. We will take multiple people from a
community so long as they know that they might wear the sash of another
community (one sash is printed per community).

Thanks for your help....I look forward to seeing you at the parade!

Cheers and YAHOO!
